My Trip To Egypt

This is my screen cast video of my trip to Egypt, with all that's going on in Egypt right now on the news, I decided to do mine on Egypt to show people that Egypt isn't that bad of a place. It was a very fun and interesting trip, at sometimes it made me want to live there and at sometimes made me appreciate what we have in the states more. Overall it was a great learning experience.

Book Report

I did my book report on the book  “Bestseller Youtube Online Video Marketing For any Business”. My first initial response to the book was that it was very informative with the history and future of youtube. I would recommend this book not only to those pursuing business, but also anyone who is interested in web applications, or even just using youtube, once again it is very informative. The main direction of this book is using youtube for business. The book starts off with a little intro of youtube and its enormous empire. It explains that all you need to make a video is basically any pc and a camcorder or phone. With you- tube’s 130 million users and growing this can be very beneficial. The amount of videos and users on youtube continues to grow, which is amazing for businesses looking to take advantage of the opportunity. For example, the growth has been nothing short of stratospheric; traffic to the site has more than doubled in just the past two Years

The book describes why videos are great for business, and that’s because it delivers a huge audience with very low investment. You cant beat the free marketing its like your very own commercial. Now youtube has grown for product advertising, retail Promotion, Direct sales, and even product  support. Support is a big factor for me because youtube is everything now , I mean you can basically learn anything from what to wear, to building a house or a rocket. Even companies like “Lowes” have their own do it your self videos ( which are really great for home improvement jobs) I even put in a new sink from just watching the videos. We have become so dependent on youtube which is great! I believe its just a way for everybody to share knowledge and in return makes us smarter.

One of the biggest uses for youtube is Entertainment videos. The book explains how many people have struck it big from youtube. We have all seen this with all the musicians, and even actors that have owed all their success to youtube. Out of all the Web application on the internet I have to say youtube is number one, it smokes the competition to me, due to all the many aspects of sharing, bonding, entertaining, teaching, and ect.. Nothing else really compares and we are a generation evolving around this idea and using it to our creative advantages so the whole world can explore and share.

I am more than relieved for reading this book, it has built my knowledge towards the making of Youtube, something so broad yet famous around the world. Youtube has made a difference in our entertainment cycle; you can watch movies, listen to music, or even get help on your math homework. Also, it has built a relationship with other people. Once you make videos, you form viewers that will follow all your videos. You get attached. This book has really taught me all you need to know about it and how amazingly successful it is.

I read this wiki about Netflix from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netflix and it really explains all the details about the company from when they first started. It's a really great source if you want to resaerch it . Then after finding it I was able to add my own text to the wiki. I added a statement about the streaming option and how modern internet connections can deliever HD video by just streaming. It truly is amazing and if you would like please check it out.

The past couple weeks with Netflix

I just got an email from Netflix, stating that they have just cancelled their Qwikster program. The Qwikster program was a separation between the company, The CEO thought it would be better if they separated the instant feature and the DVD by mails. Basically they just wanted more money by making two bills to your account instead of one. Well apparently the members didn't like the idea and it went all the way up to the chain to the CEO, and he just now announced that he has cancelled the program and will go back to the original price.

My objective for this blog is to create a center for news regarding the movies giant Netflix. I've been a Netflix user for a couple years now and was satisfied up until recently. Netflix has disappointed us once again with the discontinuing stars on demand and now the separations of DVDs and instant Queue. Also to top that off they have recently risen their prices. They seem to stop caring about the customers and more about their pockets this past year. so I plan on bringing all the up to date news about Netflix through this Blog.
